"We are very disappointed in State Farm. For the last 6 months we have been trying to cancel policies we no longer needed. We moved and needed to make changes. We finally got some changes made and reimbursed. There is one policy that hasn’t been canceled and no one will return our phone call. My husband called corporate and told him the info to cancel which we didn’t know became the office never told that. So we are still paying on a policy we no longer need and tried to cancel months ago. Waiting on corporate to send us the info. When I do call the office, I don’t feel like a customer. I am always drilled with many questions. We have been long time customers with many policies through the years and very disappointed on how we are treated."

"They can't seem to get the payment under control. One minute they put my card info in wrong, then I pay two months at once, then just when I think everything is finally under control....nope they pull out over 300 in one month for one truck yet again. This is the second and final time. I am absolutely done with this company and will be getting a new insurance company on Monday."

"Steadily losing quality and customer service for years but hd stayed out of loyalty to Perry Mader who was the epitome of caring customer service. His daughter’s office, built from his reputation, has become so far removed from his legacy When I challenged an bill that almost doubled from last month to this month, I was given information I had brought to their attention rather than given actual number related answers. Neither employee “helping me” could do more than read off the canned info, information I had on the printed bills and declarations pages. The “higher up” who supposedly had "looked into" the issue, left a voice message about negotiating a lower rate…on a vehicle I'd told her repeatedly had been replaced and was no longer on the declarations page—the one she hadn’t read. The other has made so many errors handling my account that she created this entire nightmare: Not putting a vehicle on the policy in a timely manner, and blowing it off as no big deal when I received notices from my lender of non-coverage. Asking if I really had two vehicles that are the same (both of which she added to the account) rather than checking vin numbers. This latest bill encouraged me to ask for someone in management due to the incompetence of the two. The result? Being placed on 17 minute on hold before being laughed at and treated condescendingly with veiled sarcasm rather than empathy for my being upset at not only an exorbitant increase but employees whose incompetence acerbated the situation. It took walking through six months of bills with a former State Farm employee to understand the changes which is all I wanted from Mader-Bagley—to have specific and accurate information to understand the doubled bill. Instead, I was given patronizing, canned, or incompetent answers on all levels."
